The Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan (Healthy Woman, Empowered Family Campaign) is a nationwide health initiative launched by the Government of India in 2025. It aims to improve the health and nutrition of women and children, viewing women's health as the foundation for empowered families and a "Viksit Bharat" (Developed India) by 2047.

The campaign contributed to national health goals through the following key pillars:

Massive Health Outreach and Screening

The initiative conducted over 18 lakh (1.8 million) health camps between September 17 and October 2, 2025, reaching more than 10 crore (100 million) citizens.

  • Disease Screening: Provided testing for non-communicable diseases (hypertension, diabetes), cancers (breast, cervical, oral), anemia, tuberculosis, and sickle cell disease.

  • Maternal & Child Health: Facilitated over 18 lakh antenatal check-ups and administered life-saving vaccines to more than 51 lakh children.

World-Record Digital Integration

The campaign achieved three Guinness World Records in late 2025 for its unprecedented scale and digital adoption:

  • Most registrations for a healthcare platform in one month (over 3.21 crore).
  • Most sign-ups for breast cancer screening online in one week (nearly 10 lakh).
  • Most sign-ups for vital signs screening online in one week at the state level.

Holistic and Preventive Care

  • Ayush Interventions: Integrated traditional medicine through the Ministry of Ayush, promoting yoga, lifestyle counseling, and the distribution of nutrition kits and home remedies.
  • Nutrition Awareness: Aligned with the 8th Rashtriya Poshan Maah, focusing on nutrition literacy, menstrual hygiene awareness, and obesity prevention.

Community and Policy Integration

  • Jan Bhagidari (People's Participation): Mobilized grassroots workers, including ASHAs, Anganwadi workers, and Self-Help Groups, to drive community awareness.
  • Benefit Schemes: Simplified enrollment for government schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) and created Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) IDs for continuity of care.
